Ask Lou

Company settings and contacts

Your company's details, logo, fiscal year and industry, whether Ask Lou is turned on, and the contacts you send reports to.

Company details

Owners and admins: Settings → Company, then Edit.

  • Logo: shown in the header and on your exports. JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP, up to 5 MB.
  • Company Name, an optional Alias, phone and address.
  • Fiscal year ends: the month your books close. Year-end comparisons use it.
  • Business structure. For an S corporation, also whether it's an ESOP and how it's taxed.
  • Industry Classification: your NAICS codes and industry, revenue and EBITDA size, employee count and region. The NAICS code is what scorecard benchmark columns use.
  • Import Defaults: the account that absorbs rounding differences in an imported trial balance.
  • Chart Colors: your colors for charts across the app.

Turning Ask Lou on or off

Under AI Assistant (Ask Lou), Enable AI Assistant lets your team ask Lou about your financial data. Turning it on adds it to your monthly subscription, pro-rated for the current period, and asks you to confirm first. Turning it off is immediate, and the Ask Lou buttons disappear.

Contacts

Settings → Contacts keeps the people outside your team you send reports to, like your banker or your accountant: name, email, phone, and whether they're your primary contact. Active contacts are suggested when you email a report. Deactivate a contact you no longer use; you can reactivate them later.
