Ask Lou

Approving changes Lou proposes

Nothing Lou suggests is saved until you approve it. Here's how that works.

Lou proposes, you decide

Sometimes the answer to a question is a change to your data. Lou doesn't make the change. He proposes it, showing exactly what would change, row by row.

You can approve it or reject it. If you do neither, the proposal expires after five minutes, and nothing changes.

Checked again when you approve

When you approve, Ask Lou checks again that you're signed in and have permission to make that change, and that every record involved belongs to your company. Only then is the change saved.

Every proposal, approval, rejection and failure is recorded.

The one exception: notes

If you ask Lou to write a note on an account or a period, he confirms the wording with you, then saves it directly. See Account notes Lou understands.

How a change Lou proposes is saved
  1. 1Lou proposes

He shows exactly what would change, row by row. Nothing is saved yet.

    One exception: notes

A note you ask Lou to write on an account or period is saved directly, after he confirms the wording with you.

  2. 2You review

Approve it or reject it. A proposal expires after five minutes.

  3. 3Checked again

Your identity and permissions are re-checked, and each record is confirmed to be your company's.

  4. 4Saved and recorded

The change is written, and the proposal and your approval are recorded.
