Create your account

Choose Get Started at the top of any page on our site and sign up, either with your email address or with one of the single sign-on options shown.

Set up multi-factor authentication

Every Ask Lou account uses multi-factor authentication, ours included. You'll set up a second factor the first time you sign in:

• An authenticator app, which gives you a six-digit code each time you sign in
• A passkey, which signs you in with your device's fingerprint, face or PIN
• Backup codes, single-use codes to keep somewhere safe in case you lose your phone

We don't offer text-message codes. They can be stolen by someone who takes over your phone number, so we leave them out entirely.

If you lose access to your second factor, contact us. We'll verify who you are before anything changes on your account.

Finish your profile

Before you go further, Ask Lou asks for your first name, last name and phone number. It's a one-time step, and you can't skip it: it's how we know who we're working with.
