The Trial Balance
Every account, every month, in one grid: where you check balances, fix mappings and add notes.
What you see
Each row is an account: its number, name, mapping, category and division, then a column for each month of the year you've chosen. Choose Year-to-date or Period activity to see running balances or each month on its own.
Filters and options
- Search for an account
- Hide empty accounts
- Divisions: combined, or split out by division
- Variance limits: set upper and lower limits on an account, monthly or yearly, and see at a glance when a balance falls outside them
Fixing a mapping
Turn on Edit Mode, then double-click a mapping or category to change it. Changes wait under Review & Save until you save them. Analyze Mappings has Lou check your mappings for you. See How your accounts are mapped.
Notes
Choose the comment icon on a row to add a note to the account, for every period or just one. You can also right-click a balance to note that month. Lou reads your notes from every page. See Account notes Lou understands.
Export
Email it, or download a PDF or Excel file, with your current filters, limits and notes, and your logo and company name if you choose.
